Is your Plantar Fasciitis pain not getting better?

If you are dealing with a chronic injury, and you feel that your healing is slow or stalled, Tissue Regenerative Therapy is a medical approach that combines medical diagnostic testing, manual medical treatment and Radial Pressure Wave or Shockwave Therapy.

The Tissue Regenerative Therapy Approach

WE START WITH AN EVALUATION BY OUR TEAM OF DOCTORS.

NEXT, LOCATE THE SOURCE OF PAIN OR INJURED TISSUE.

DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF PAIN TO REDUCE RE-INJURY.

IDENTIFY MECHANICAL PROBLEMS OR ACTIVITIES.

STIMULATE THE HEALING PROCESS WITH RADIAL-PWT.

COACHING THROUGH A HOME PROGRAM.

The Tissue Regenerative Therapy Approach

Are you tired of dealing with your pain?

Have you tried other treatments?

We start with a clinical evaluation by our team of doctors. Diagnostic Ultrasound is used to assess for tissue damage. Our first step is to locate the SOUR CE of your pain.

Next is to determine the CAUSE of your pain. Often the cause is different than where your pain is coming from.

We then IDENTIFY any body mechanic problems that are causing repeated tissue injury, and any behaviors or activities that will re-injure or affect your healing.

Using Radial Pressure Wave Therapy we STIMULATE the healing process while coaching you on a home program.

RADIAL PRESSURE WAVE THERAPY

The healing part of Tissue Regenerative Therapy

Radial Pressure Wave Therapy R-PWT or Radial Shockwave Therapy is an FDA approved treatment for chronic injuries and inflammatory conditions.

R-PWT is a non-surgical radial shockwave treatment used to promote tissue regeneration and healing. R-PWT decreases inflammation, stimulates
re-vascularization or growth of new blood vessels, and causes cells to regenerate
and proliferate by releasing more growth factors in the treatment area.

R-PWT helps break up scar tissue from damaged and chronically inflamed tissues.

Common Questions

What is the difference between Shockwave Therapy and Radial Pressure Wave Therapy?

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy is the term used to describe focused and radial shockwave devices. Radial Shockwave Therapy is also caused Radial Pressure Wave Therapy (R-PWT) as it is a lower intensity when compared to focused devices. Because of the lower intensity it is used to treat orthopedic problems like tendonitis and nerve injury with high success rates. There are also less contraindications for Radial Pressure Wave Therapy.

Is Radial Pressure Wave or Shockwave Therapy painful?

Radial Pressure Wave Therapy is NOT painful. A mild discomfort can be felt during treatment and a reduction in pain is common immediately after the first treatment.

Do I need an evaluation by a doctor to do R-PWT?

An evaluation by one of the Doctors at Cornerstone Physical Therapy is necessary to determine the source of your pain as well as the cause of pain. The cause of pain is often different than the source or point of pain. Chronic problems tend to be more complex. Diagnostic Ultrasound is used to determine any tissue damage and inflammation as well as the depth of the area of treatment.

The Tissue Regenerative Therapy approach determines the cause of pain, as well as any behaviors or activities that are causing re-injury. This is important for success to get the most out of R-PWT.

Is R-PWT safe?

R-PWT is very safe when prescribed by an experienced practitioner. Treatments take about 15 to 20 minutes and treatment protocols are based on the condition and problem that is being treated and determined by your doctor. Five treatments are typical for most conditions and improvements are seen weeks and sometimes months after the last treatment.

Years of pain!

I had stopped progressing with treatment until trying Shockwave Therapy. My first treatment series I started with my most painful shoulder. After one treatment, by the next week, my left shoulder was my better shoulder. I am sleeping better and am back to riding my mountain bike!

No Pain After 17 Years!

After hitting the ground behind the ball 17 years ago and dealing with chronic Golfer's Elbow, by the 3rd treatment my pain was completely gone.

The treatments were not painful and no worse than my usual pain.

I can do anything I want now without pain!

Back To Fishing!

One year ago I had a severe fall while fishing tearing my rotator cuff and needing surgery. After two bouts of therapy I was still in pain and had limited shoulder motion. After shockwave therapy I have full mobility and am back to fishing!
